Maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year [Birmingham K! Tour]

Honestly, that lyric could not be more suitable for this weekend really.

So yeah, highlights:

- Getting picked up and starting to drive to Brum
- Still having crumbs of that Granola bar in my pocket
- Bee having chunks of it in her wallet
- Spending more time driving around Birmingham finding the hotel than we did actually driving to Birmingham
- Finally finding the hotel, with the Academy literally 2 minutes away
- Going to the venue and meeting some of the Hustlers for the first time, and meeting Luc
- Going into the shopping centre, which was busier than London!
- Going into the Disney Store and buying an American football that was an Alien from Toy Story
- Joking that we should get a game of football going in the M&G
- Going back to the venue after buying an arm full of Subways
- Going back to the shopping centre a while later with the Hustlers and Luc
- Pretty much being told to piss off by security when we sat in a corner to draw on the flag. Apparently we were in peoples way
- Maia being told off for going into the kids thing in the Entertainer, even though she wasn't to tall!
- Going back to the venue and drawing on the flag
- Bee finding out her mum had been talking to ATL in Selfridges
- Getting our passes
- Deciding to take everyone back to the hotel for a bit, just to stay warm
- Running back to the venue when Allie got a text to tell her the Hustlers had gone in
- Hustlers were still queueing
- Random photos, including Mickey wearing the 'Charm My Snake' thong
- Agreeing that Flyzik also likes ATB more than ATL
- Flyzik finally coming outside to get us
- Stopping us in the hall and giving us the rules for the M&Gs, which me and Bee found hilarious as we hadn't been given them before
- Going in and seeing them in the corner
- "We met your mum today!" - Colussy
- All of ATL remembering us
- Taking the football out of my bag, and Jack signing it for pretty much no reason
- Finally getting Zack to sign my GK poster, that i've needed signed by him since October!
- Rian stealing my football and throwing it across the venue to Colussy. Vinny and Zack then got involved.
- Giving Matt his second Mickey. "Is this the other one? It's going on the production table, just so you know where it is."
- Trying (and failing) to get my football back as the doors opened and the band disappeared
- Running to barrier
- Some girls behind me seeing my photo with Jack and actually saying "OMG is that Alex?!" ¬_¬
- Young Guns <3
- Me, Bee and Luc being the only three people on the barrier singing along to Young Guns
- Deciding to leave after YG
- Betting security £10 that he wouldn't be able to lift me out. I owe him £10
- Spending £25 on merch. Tee and poster XD
- Having to watch everyone elses set from the side =[
- TBO encouraging people to throw glowsticks
- The Charm My Snake thong being thrown up during ATLs set. Jack was so close to putting it on his head.
- Finding out that Rachel was the only person that lasted on the barrier after the gig
- Luc lost his bag =[
- Talking to Snoz again. He recognises me and Bee, it's kinda weird
- Talking to MP for the first time in ages! Laurence was shocked to see me in Birmingham
- Finding a Mickey Mouse on the floor, which belonged to Allie
- Bee texting me to tell me that Flyzik actually twitpic-ed the Mickey we gave him!
- The whole night pretty much going to shit



So yeah, before the gig it was amazing. During/after the gig...Yeah, not something i want to re-live any time soon.

A bit of an add-on to the last blog

I looked at the photo i posted in the last blog, and i looked at this photo.

I realised how much more...Relaxed ATL seem to be.

The first one is kinda your average 'band with fan' photo.

The second kinda shows them being themselves that tiny bit more.

It may be because we didn't exactly have enough room in the second photo.

Am i the only one that sees it?

Also, i love that Alex does the hand sign that you'd only truly understand if you were in Southampton. We were the only people in Bristol that knew what it meant.

Random post

Every time i see this photo (Which is often as it's my laptop background) i actually just stop for a minute.



It still hasn't sunk in that not only have i met All Time Low properly, i met them twice! In two days! And i'm still meeting them a minimum of three more times!



I know i paid £30 to join their fan club just to get this, when i could have met them for free if i waited around the venue for a little while.



But being able to have a proper conversation with these guys and see how genuine they really are...I realise how lucky i am. I've been a fan of All Time Low for 2 and a half years or so now, and they pretty much became my favourite band overnight.



25/01/10 - 26/01/10 have easily been the best nights of my life so far.

I have no doubt that the last few K! tour dates will match it

So first off, i'd like to apologise for the amount of blog posts over the past few days.

I'm not really sure why i've posted so many, yet no doubt Kerrang! Tour has something to do with it...Actually it just does.

Anyway...

Today is my last day of normality and tomorrow i am off to Birmingham for yet another K! Tour date.

Also get to meet two of the Hustlers for the first time XD

Kerrang! Tour - Bristol

Part 2 of 5/6

Highlights:

- Leaving Wonderland
- Stopping at the first services we saw for breakfast and seeing My Passion. We spent the whole time trying to avoid them.
- Getting lost driving around Bristol
- Finally finding the Travelodge and finding the Relentless van parked outside O_O
- Getting to the room and celebrating the fact that the bathroom was in a seperate room!
- Heading to the venue where we saw Thomas, Kelly and Andy
- Going into town for some moneys
- Going back and heading to the front of the queue to get our passes
- Security once again telling us to wait outside, as they knew nothing about it
- Standing at the front of the queue.
- THE FARMER!!!
- Watching All Time Low literally get chased down the street
- Going off to get food, being careful about not running into ATL
- Tweeting Flyzik to get back sooner, as we were cold and he was with the band.
- Watching them walk back and being happy because it meant we were going in soon.
- Seeing Matt looking really lost in the Box Office area, then finally spotting us
- Getting our tickets scanned then being led into the main room by Flyzik, where we stood watching My Passion soundcheck as Jack was still on the bus.
- Giving Matt his first Mickey of tour. Apparently it's going to live in his bunk, but wants another for the sound stage and dressing room
- Watching Vinny walk around,
- "They look like Aiden, but not as good" - Vinny Vegas
- Matt talking over the radio then being led backstage again. Security looked confused as hell.
- Following Matt through a maze of corridors (And discussing how it smelled like a public toilet) and up a flight of spiral stairs to ATL's dressing room, where Zack, Rian and Greico were.
- Greico looking quite confused by me and Bee
- Jack turning up a few minutes later, followed by Colussy
- Being told Alex had died
- "Yeah, you're not here to meet the band, you're here to audition as the new singer of the band." - Jack Barakat
- Alex walking up the stairs, awkwardly waving when he saw us.
- Jack standing next to us and giving us water and some dodgy granola bar
- The first proper thing Rian said to us literally being "So what do you guys wanna do today?"
- Talking about being given free water at venues, which then turned into a conversation about alcohol
- Rian then sitting on Greico's lap due to lack of room
- Saying how we needed the knife Rian offered us in Southampton because of the Blackout fans AKA the Dickhead
- Zack offering us brass knuckles, then going off into his own little conversation about how effective they are.
- Getting ATL to sign the Brosaurus, which they all loved and laughed about. Rian was a fan of 'El Rawr'
- Explaining to them how to say Noriwch ("No-Rich?")
- Vinny coming up the stairs and admitting he thought me and Bee were crew.
- Him having to stand on the stairs because there was no room
- Bee telling them how they saved her life because of Norwich, and Jack telling us he was psychic and knew it was going to happen, which is why they played there on that date.

- Discussing that the dressing room would blow up (I was stood in a puddle of water that had a small heater in the middle of it)
- Asking us if we were going to another date, and i mentioned that i couldn't cause of work and i was heading to Florida on the 8th
- Matt sticking his head out of the corner when Disneyland was mentioned

- Bob actually being kinda happy

- Spazzing as we saw ATL set up (We seriously love their crew more than them)
- Trying (and failing) to get more water off Matt as they set up as the bottles Jack gave us were almost empty
- Watching Rian lurking behind the drum kit with Greico
- Jeff looking gay...It's the gloves

- Screaming Fuck You Jeff! Which cause many people to back away
- Being pissed off that we weren't on Matt's side, but then realising we could see Danny, so we were happy

- Stealing water off Andy when the bar wouldn't give us any and Andy was there
- Deciding we didn't want to buy merch because Vinny wasn't there
- Going outside and giving Si from Young Guns £5 for the free EP that YG accidently sent me. He wouldn't believe me and looked really happy that i gave them £5 for nothing.

- Sitting in the windowsill of our Travelodge and watching a white van parking, trying to figure out if it belonged to one of the bands

Kerrang Tour - Southampton

So, this is the start of what will no doubt be 5/6 lengthy blog posts, set over the next two weeks. This is Southampton's. Bristol's will be up later/tomorrow.

So, lets get this thing started. Highlights, of course:

-Pretty much running out of work and running around my house trying to get changed and ready.
- Having to wait an hour for Bee and her mum to turn up.
- Getting to our hotel in Southampton. The toilet was in the cupboard, the shower opened into the bedroom and the sink was in the bedroom.
- Going out to dinner to TGI Fridays.
- CREEPY SEAN!
- Small desserts, making Southampton Wonderland.
- Waking up the next morning then heading out to find the venue.
- Finding the venue and box office, then heading off to find breakfast.
- Realising that Southampton has 4 shopping centres and 2 Shakeaways.
- Being on crew/band member lookout all day...So many lookalikes!
- Avoiding any Boots so we wouldn't see Sean Smith
- Passing Colussy on the street, and only noticing that Rian was next to him when he started talking.
- Killing more time before heading to the venue to get our passes.
- Going back to the hotel when security told us to come back later.
- Getting back and being given our passes.
- Being made to stand in the foyer to wait for Matt.
- Talking to Andy and giving him the Red Bull i owed him, which he seemed honestly shocked about
- Andy leaving, then getting death glares from the people in the queue.
- Listening to The Blackout soundcheck.
- Hearing them play Spandeau Ballet
- Meeting Matt, who shook our hands and introduced himself.
- Being referred to as 'The ladies' by Matt over the radio.
- Following him into the main room, then being WTF when he told us we were going backstage.
- Being taken into All Time Low's dressing room
- Alex, Zack and Jack introducing themselves. Jack introduced himself as Ashleigh
- "What's with the handshakes, we're not meeting the president...*In tha British accent* Tony Blair" - Rian Dawson
- "I recognise you" "Wait, you recognise me?" "Yeah, i remember your...earrings" "The earrings i bought last week?" "Dammit!" "It's because Jack was wearing them last time."
- Being randomly asked if we liked Pokemon by Rian.
- Being told that the M&G was the second most intimate M&G they've ever done.
- Discussing when the new Toy Story movie comes out, with all of ATL not believing Jack when he told them it came out on his birthday.
- Being offered a drink by them. The options were water, coke and a fifth of Vodka.
- Telling them that a lot of My Passion fans don't like them because of the Hustler club.
- Being offered a knife by Rian to take into the crowd.
- Alex asking us if we knew why there weren't many Hustlers in the UK, then telling us we should spread the word or keep it 'Our little secret'
- Getting photos with the band.
- Getting hugs, and being scared of being Zack snapping us both.
- Saying bye and being led into the main room by Matt again.
- Getting our spot on the barrier and watching Young Guns soundcheck.
- Ben taking a photo of me and Bee while they were soundchecking.
- Doors opening
- Meeting the dickhead
- Being two of the only people who knew any words to any Young Guns songs
- Screaming at Gustav that his flies were undone
- My Passion having fangirls!
- Watching Alex lurking during MPs set
- TBO coming on stage
- Sean disappearing and coming back with his face covered in blood
- Having to leave the crowd halfway through TBO's set due to the Dickhead
- Trying to get a mouthful of Red Bull from Andy, but turned out he gave it to Marc
- Watching Save Ourselves from the back of the room and wondering how we have EVER survived it.
- Watching ATL set up
- Realising that Matt was a lot shorter tha he looks XD
- Alex nearly flashing when someone asked to see his dick...He literally undone his jeans.
- Alex calling Jack fat when he said about being out of breath after 3 songs.
- The new 'hand sign' for the Party Song
- Seeing Vinny on stage with All Time Low
- Danny being on stage while Alex made him stand there so he could sort out his stool for Remembering Sunday.
- Finding Bee after the set and heading outside.
- Jon from Young Guns trying to sell us an EP, and being flattered when i told him i owned two.
- Telling Fraser that he should just start jumping on people to sell their EPs
- Trying to help Fraser and Ben sell their EPs
- Getting in the car and just laughing at the crappy bootleg shirts
- Spending about an hour just swapping stories about the night instead of sleeping.


Ok, so that's Southampton.

Bristol is gonna be a lot longer, as we got more of a chance to talk to ATL at the M&G and i managed to stay in the crowd the whole set there.

But yeah, ATL are owning this tour, i'm not even joking.

Southampton and Bristol are done.

Been home almost two hours, and done absoleutly nothing.

Have the biggest smile in the world on my face.

Laughing everytime i see a bottle of water.

My mum has stuff that looks like granola bars.

And, regardless how much i say it, i love All Time Low more than physically possible! I'm not even kidding.


And Matt Flyzik...Words cannot describe how amazing that man is.

But then, i get to travel to Southampton with my best friend and her mum, ready for Monday, which is our first date of Kerrang! Tour.

Honestly can't believe that in 48 hours time, i would have seen All Time Low for the first time this year, as well as meeting them and seeing 3 of my favourite British bands.

I really can't wait! Unless you've seen me at some point today, you have no idea how excited i am!

So yeah, expect a lengthy blog on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

Everything just got a lot more real

I know i've been spazzing bout the M&Gs for a while, and i know i've had them for about a week or so now, but getting the e-mails telling me how early i'm going in and what time i need to be at the venue by...It has made me realise that this is REALLY gonna happen. In 5 days. In Southampton. With my best friend.


And now, because Ria isn't going, in Bristol and Southampton, the M&Gs will literally just be me and Bee.


Bee has actually just described this situation in the best way:

it still feels like one of these crazy plans we've made

like i'm excited for it but it's not going to happen



It just seems so surreal. I'm getting a definite 5 chances to meet one of my favourite bands.


Also, can i add that as much as i love My Passion, Young Guns OWNED last night

My goals for 2010

So i know we're more than halfway through January now, but i figured that i wanted to make a list of the stuff i actually want to achieve this year. So yeah, not much point to this blog really but meh, when do my blogs have a point?


1. Get better at saving money.
2. Stop spending so much money on All Time Low.
3. See Kate Is The Decoy more. I miss them too much =[
4. Figure out which friends are actually worth keeping, and get rid of the ones who aren't.
5. Meet all the Hustlers i talk to!
6. Spend more time in London with the friends that live there.
7. Actually go to Loughton to see Georgina!
8. Travel the country.
9. Spend more time on things other than work and gigs.
10. Do something productive with my days off instead of sitting at home, on the internet, doing nothing.
11. Stop buying more than one copy of the same cd just for the added bonuses.
12. Stop being so nice.


So yeah, that's mine for the moment.

No doubt more will be added over the next week or so.

Just wow

So i'm a bit late posting this blog really.

Earlier today, i walked out of work at lunch, checked Twitter and first heard about the 'Alex Gaskarth stalker'. I found a link to a Tumblr page and read the story.

Seriously, i read it and though 'What the fuck?'

I know i joke about stalking band members, but really, who BUYS their address, goes to their house, waits for three hours (Killing time taking photos of the inside of their house to get photos of their dogs) then knocks on the door when they turn up, after seeing their girlfriend for the first time in about a week or so, just to get a few photos!

I can't believe someone would be low enough to do that!

All of ATL try so hard to meet every fan at every show, so why not wait to meet them there? Why resort to driving to their house and creeping the shit out of them?

I really hope that this doesn't affect the way that ATL, or even just Alex, reacts to fans. One person shouldn't ruin it for everyone else.

As if i wasn't excited enough for Kerrang! Tour

Right so tonight, i was at work.
Bored.
Got sent home an hour early.
Got home, started to microwave my dinner.
Heard my phone go off, didn't get to it in time, had a missed call from Bee.
Tried phoning her back, wouldn't let me.
Finally got to phone her back and had her spazzing on the other end.
Got told i got All Time Low meet & greets for all 5 dates!!!
Not only that, but for Southampton and Bristol, it is only me, Bee and our friend Ria!!!

Three of us. In a room. With our favourite band!

SPAZ MUCH?!?!?!?!?!?!

I feel sorry for Ria though, she goes to Norwich the next day and it's only her!


But yeah, i don't care how awkward it is gonna be just being us three in front of four of my heroes.
I don't care that All Time Low are getting a lot of shit because they're letting fans do this.
I don't care that a lot of people probably hate me right now.
I don't care that i'm probably going to embarass myself (yet again) in front of my favourite band.


This tour will be the best 5 days of my life!

In under a week...

I've seriously gained a third family.

Of course, my family and my bros are the already existing families.

My friends...They're like extended family.

The Hustlers are my new family.


This time last week, i was just a Hustler who had never posted on the boards, cause i had heard nothing but bad stuff about them.


Now, we have OPERATION CIRLCES, official merchandise for that, realise we actually all hate All Time Low, that we love All Time Blow and, most importantly, we've started organising a meet-up in the Summer.


Right now, we've made sure that Robbie knows he's sleeping in the bath, due to the fact he will be the most drunk. Me and Jess are gonna be the only two sober ones and shall be drawing on everyone else once they've passed out.


I never thought i'd grow this close to a group of people i've never met in such a short amount of time.

Till i see these guys again.

I can't wait to see them!

And, even though i don't mention it, i can't wait to see Zack again!

I'm still annoyed i never got to see him on the last tour. I mean, i love Ryan Ogren, but he's just not Zack...He's too loud for one XD



This is gonna be the highlight of my year, no doubt, if not for the shows for the people i'm gonna be with.

I love:

1. YMCA Twitter singalongs with three Hustlers.
2. Planning even more stuff for the 6th February
3. Talking about the M&G's we might not even get yet.
4. The fact that Harold And Kumar is on tv.
5. MY. FUCKING. LIFE!

Some information people seem to forget or don't know about the Hustler club

Ok, this isn't anything against certain people, but i just want to fill in some people on stuff that they may not know about The Hustler Club.

I've seen loads of people freaking out because OMG ATL ARE LETTING IN 90 FANS EARLY!!!1one!!!

I just want to tell everyone this:

All Time Low are letting in 45 fans. Not 90. Yes in America they let in 90, but that is 45 for Early Entry and 45 for Meet And Greet. Over here, they are only allowing Meet And Greet, so there will only be 45.

Next thing, there isn't even that many Hustlers in the whole of Europe! There will be about 10 people max at every date that get M&G.

One of the main points: Every English Hustler has paid £30 for this.

Can you tell me that you wouldn't pay £30 for a definite chance to meet your favourite band? A band that have changed your life? A band that don't tour the UK very often? A band that you could sometimes have to wait hours in the cold to talk to for under 5 minutes, while every other girl in the area is fighting for their attention?

All Time Low aren't giving this out for free.




Ok, so some people might read this and think it's aimed at them.

It really isn't.

I really have seen about 10+ people freaking out because they feel like they won't get anywhere near the front because All Time Low have given something out for free.

So please, regardless it is a term this band use as a joke, this blog really is Nothing Personal.

I just want people to know the details of this.

Before anyone starts shit, if you really wanna know how many people are going to your K! tour dates, just ask. I can tell you the amount of Hustlers that i know of that are going to your date.

Less than 24 hours later, i have 5 (or more, not really sure) more friends that i shall be seeing either over the next month or HOPEFULLY in the Summer.

Complete with official merchandise now as well!


But the instore will be amazing.

We will be meeting with most the Hustlers, helping out the lost ones, then queueing in probably freezing temperatures for All Time Low acoustic set.

But yeah, major love to the Hustlers for making my night so much better and getting me hyped up even more for Kerrang Tour

Ok, so i'm stealing this idea from Facebook. The idea is to write down 25 random things, facts, habits and goals about yourself. So yeah, this is 25 random facts about me. Some are quite obvious, some aren't.

1. My goal in 2010 is to meet Danny Kurily.

2. I am more excited about seeing All Time Low in 3 weeks than i am about going to Florida in 5.

3. No matter how much i talk about All Time Low, Simple Plan will always mean the most to me.

4. I've noticed recently that my closest friends change on a yearly basis.

5. I'm scared of what the future holds.

6. The people i met in 2009 mean more to me than they may think.

7. 29th November 2008 was the best day of my life, no questions.

14. Regardless the best day of my life took place in 2008, 2009 was the best year of my life.

15. UB40 and Madness are the bands i remember listening to when i was a kid. They are my parents favourite bands and even i still enjoy their music.

16. I don't think of that band like i used to.

17. I would love to spend my 18th birthday and Reading and Leeds, but i know it won't happen.

18. I still owe my mum huge amounts for the fact that she took me to Nottingham, on Valentines day and when i was REALLY ill just because i wanted to see Simple Plan live.

19. I still have a ticket on my bedroom wall from that Simple Plan show signed by their old merch guy, Patrick Langlois.

20. And i remember my mum asking him to sign the ticket because i was to shy.

21. I need to learn to stop being so nice.

22. Good Charlotte are still one of the biggest influences to me.

23. I hate that Buzz Lightyear has more merchandise than Woody

24. I blame Matt Flyzik for the suddenly reappearing obsession with Mickey Mouse

25. I love the fact that i have met all my heroes before i've turned 18.
